I purchased a brand new car, Nissan Qashqai, in October 2009. Last week, I noticed that the bottom of the car inside was soaking wet. When I have checked it, I discovered that the floor/carpet was wet all the way from back to the front, especially the boot, where the spare wheel is placed. My husband has contacted the Nissan dealer, where we bought the car, but had to wait for 3 days to get the car into their service to check it. They said that it would has to stay in the garage for 4 days for diagnosis then they would dry and clear the car. When my husband insisted that this would not prevent it to smell damp after, they suggested that they might change the carpet in the car. But it is still not good enough. This is a brand new car worth of £20,000 and it has only been driven for a month. I am extremely upset about this situation and want better solution than they suggested. I either want my money back or want another car with no soaked floor/problems, as you would expect from a new car.
